Sherry Ann (Bradford) Gwartney
December 21, 1946 ~ November 11, 2021

Sherry Ann Gwartney, 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 11, 2021. She was born on December 21, 1946 to Claude and Laura (Dykes) Bradford in Cheyenne, OK. She graduated from Hammon High School and married her sweetheart, Bill Gwartney. They enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage.

Over the years, Sherry worked at the Smithsonian Institution, became a hairdresser and served as secretary at Jenks East Elementary school, all the while being a devoted wife, loving mom and homemaker. She was a faithful member of North Pointe Baptist Church and her faith and walk with the Lord were very important to her. Sherry enjoyed traveling and sewing as well as hosting all kinds of church and family gatherings. Sherry cherished the time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was known as “Nana” to Baylee and Jackson, who were her pride and joy.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Jack and Rachel Gwartney; brother, Mike Bradford and nephew, Steve Ross. She is survived by her husband, Bill Gwartney; son, Aaron (Christy) Gwartney; grandchildren, Baylee Gwartney and Jackson Gwartney; sister, Claudette Ross; brother-in-law, Jerry (Mary) Gwartney; nephews, Mark (Sonja) Gwartney, Tim (Krista) Gwartney, Jeff (Amy) Gwartney and Johnny (Wendy) Ross; niece, Lynette (Chris) Young; and many great-nieces and nephews and extended family members.
