Phyllis Devyrl (Butler) Guthrie
July 27, 1929 ~ December 12, 2021

Phyllis Devyrl Guthrie, the daughter of James W. Butler and Ruth Edgemon Butler. She was born July 27, 1929, in Adair County, Oklahoma. She departed this life to be with the Lord on December 12, 2021, at the age of 92.

She was a retired cook from Siloam Springs Hospital.

She became a Christian at the age of 18. She attended Church as long as her health allowed her to. She loved the Lord.

She married Lenard Guthrie on November 21, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1981. To that union four children were born.

Phyllis loved family gatherings, playing games with family and friends, reading, visiting with people, word search puzzles, and eating out.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James W. Butler and Ruth Edgemon Butler; her husband: Lenard Guthrie; two daughters: Wyvonne Guthrie and Helen Warren; one sister: Nellie Keeter; one brother: Lawerence (Pat) Woodrow; two great-great- granddaughters: Skylar and Sierra.

Phyllis is survived by one daughter: Jean Larsen and husband Raymond of Colcord, Oklahoma; one son: Cecil Guthrie and wife Louise of Colcord, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren: Gary McAlpin and wife Mariah, Regina Anderson, Jeff Myers and wife Rita, Diane Buck and husband Layton, John Linde and wife Candy, Tommy Guthrie and wife Debbie, Kenny Guthrie and wife Courtney, and Tiffany Guthrie; two step granddaughters: Tiffany Tuell, and Chrystal Williams and husband Dagan; twenty-two great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; three great-great granddaughters; and ten great-great grandsons. Also, a host of relatives and friends, and a special friend: Beverly.

Funeral Service was held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Roberts & Hart Chapel in Westville, OK.
