Cleburn Lee Guthrie

February 28, 1950 ~ August 11, 2018

Cleburn Lee Guthrie was born February 28, 1950 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 11, 2018 at Cookson, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pershing and Ida Mae Claphan Guthrie also of Stilwell.

Cleburn was a 1968 graduate of Stilwell High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force shortly after graduation. Cleburn served two tours of duty and was stationed in the Azores Islands. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he began his career as a mail carrier and finished as the Postmaster of Cookson.

Cleburn is survived by his son Robert and wife Kristen of Tahlequah, his daughters Si'Ane Soap and husband Soloman of Stilwell and Rebecca Gregory of Tulsa. Also surviving are grandsons Brody, Jaxon, Emree, Caleb and granddaughters Leah, Jessica and Mia.

In addition, he is survived by his sister Linda of Sallisaw, nephew Brian Hummingbird and nieces Shelly White and Lisa Yahola and several cousins and friends.

A memorial for Cleb was held August 16, 2018 at Green Country Funeral Home in Tahlequah with Chaplin Bill Holcomb officiating
