Cosme "Duke" Gurule Jr.
May 19, 1948 ~ July 24, 2017

Cosme "Duke" Gurule Jr, 69, of Bartlesville, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Jane Phillips Hospital from heart complications. He was born on May 19, 1948 in Silver City, New Mexico to Cosme and Eloise W. (Tafoya) Gurule.

 He entered the U.S. Army Artillery Division in April 1969 and served in Vietnam from September 1969 to September 1970. He was honorably discharged in January 1971. 

He married Rhonda Sarcoxie on June 21, 2002 and they made their home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Duke worked at Billie Brim Ministries and was a member of The Light Church Fellowship. He loved the Lord and it made his day if he could minister to someone about Jesus. He enjoyed wood working, watching football, riding horses with his wife, and playing with his grandchildren. 

Duke is survived by his wife Rhonda Gurule of the home, son Aaron Gurule and his wife Christina of Windham, Ohio, step-daughter Shelley Reeves and her husband Brian of Owasso, Oklahoma, grandchildren Aiden Gurule, Zane Reeves, & Briley Reeves, and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Gurule, and infant daughter Rebecca Gurule. 

Celebration of Life Services will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:00am at The Light Church Fellowship in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
