Debbie (Anders) Gurley
March 3, 1958 ~  August 19, 2020

Debbie Gurley, 62, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at her home. She was born March 3, 1958 to Roy and Ruby (Cowan) Anders in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Debbie was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. She lived in the Little Axe area until 1996 moving to Ada and recently moved to Tecumseh.

She married Gene Gurley on October 31, 1996 in Denton, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2018.

She was a homemaker for most of her adult life and worked as a dispatcher for Thunderbird Lake for many years. Her grandchildren were the focal point of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Gurley; and her parents, Roy and Ruby Anders.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Stephanie Smith of Little Axe, OK, Carrie Janke of Oklahoma City, OK, and Sara and Jeremy Thompson of Norman, OK; 2 sons, Travis and Allison Gurley of Oklahoma City, OK and Adam and Kyla Gurley of Sayre, OK; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Jackie Travis of Okmulgee, Sandy Bacchus of Tecumseh, OK, Kim Watts of Oklahoma City, OK and Joey Anders of Wetumka, OK; 1 brother, Toby Anders of Shawnee, OK; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home. No Formal Services will be held. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
