March 22, 1936 ~ January 13, 2015 (age 78)

Jack Guest, 78, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Oklahoma City.

Jack was born on March 22, 1936 to Jesse and Exie (Brown) Guest in Southard, Oklahoma.

He was raised in Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma City Public Schools. Jack spent most of his adult life living in Oklahoma City and Texas until moving to Tecumseh where he has resided for the past 6 years.

Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957 and was honorably discharged.

He was a true jack of all trades, having been a businessman; he co-owned and operated AAAA Wrecker Service for many years, Canadian Hauling in Oklahoma City, McLoud Trucking in Bridgeport, Texas, A-Jack’s Sand and Gravel Trucking in Oklahoma City and Jack’s Barbershop in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He was also the owner and operator of Handsome Jack’s Ranch and Exotic Animals.

Jack was a member of Bethel Acres Assembly and a member of the Oklahoma Wrecker Service Association. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Guest; parents, Jesse and Exie (Brown) Guest; 2 sisters, Merle Cooper and Georgia Scales.

Jack is survived by his wife, Vivian Guest of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Ronda and Larry Townsend of Tecumseh; son, Montey Guest of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Amy and Nick Morris of Branson, MO, Lucien Townsend of Tecumseh, Shelby and Jeseca Townsend of Shawnee, Max Guest of Tecumseh, Allea Brownlie of the home, Allie Scarbrough of the home, Jeremy and Brittany Guest of Broken Arrow, Kesha Adams of Tulsa, Leeann Barnett of Purcell, Vanessa Barnett of Bethel Acres, Laine Beasley, Blake Beasley, Connilee Westervelt and Caleb Chyz; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jerry and Cathy Guest of Noble, Jimmy Guest of Oklahoma City and Richard and Carol Guest of Oklahoma City; 3 sisters, Bobbie Clapsadle of Blanchard, Billie Pierce of Allen, TX and Donna Thach, Oklahoma City; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Corene and Earl Page of Tecumseh; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Melinda and Jerry Yates and David and Pepper Lawrence; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Oklahoma Veteran’s Medical Center for their respectful care of their husband, father and grandfather and the many other veterans who have faithfully served their country to protect our freedoms.

The pallbearers will be Lucien Townsend, Shelby Townsend, Nick Morris, Max Guest, Jeremy Guest and Jerry Yates.

Visitation will begin 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 15, 2015 and continue through service time. Service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2015 at Bethel Acres Assembly with Reverend Larry Townsend and Shelby Townsend officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
