Sam D Grubbs

Sam D. Grubbs was born March 12, 1930 in Blair, Oklahoma to Estelle and John Grubbs. He passed away June 3, 2016 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years.

Sam grew up in the Fairview community and joined the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Germany. After his discharge he moved to Denver, Colorado where he raised his family and was a musician, craftsman and inventor. In 1986 Sam moved his manufacturing business to Elk City where he also helped care for his mother. Sam enjoyed and was known around town by taking walks with his dog "Jack" and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Balma Brignon, 2 brothers-in-law, Bobby Brown and Pete Brignon.

He is survived by his former wife, Gwen Grubbs, Denver, CO; 4 children, Greg Grubbs and wife, Rochelle, Amy Casey and husband, Tom, Ian Grubbs and Eric Grubbs, all of the Denver, CO area; 2 sisters, Shirley Buchanan and husband, Bill, Mangum, OK and Audean Brown, Hollis, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
