Lester Kenneth Groves Jr.
February 3, 1958 ~ January 5, 2019

Lester Kenneth Groves Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Ken was born on February 3, 1958, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Lester Groves Sr. and Mary Florence. He attended Putnam City West High School and Airframe and Power Plant School at Metro Technology Center in Oklahoma City. Ken was employed at Hampton Aviation in Mena, Arkansas. When he wasn't working, Ken enjoyed prospecting, treasure hunting, fishing, hunting, and shooting. Ken was an accomplished Aircraft Mechanic and Eagle Scout and was a proud father and grandfather. Ken's proudest moments included the births of his son and his grandson. Ken attended Wester Oaks Christian Church.

Ken is survived by his father, Lester Kenneth Groves Sr.; son, Kevin Kenneth Groves and wife Simona of Oak Harbor, Washington; brother Ralph "Sam" Groves and wife Cindy of Mustang, Oklahoma; sister, Calena Groves of Yukon, Oklahoma; one grandchild, one niece, one nephew, two great nieces, three great nephews and many other friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Florence Groves (Waitman).

A service in honor of Ken's life will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73162.
