Paula Lou Grove, 89, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022.

Paula Lou (Bowman) Grove
November 16, 1932 ~ January 9, 2022

 Paula Lou Grove passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Norman, Oklahoma. Paula was born on November 16, 1932 to Robert Paul Bowman and Florene Louvenia (Richards) Bowman in Ponca City. After graduating from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, she worked as an English/Drama teacher. Later, she worked in the field of mental health, running clinics in Enid and Alva before her retirement from the State Department of Mental Health where she monitored clinics around the state.

Paula was an accomplished musician serving as choir director at Christian Church of the Covenant in Enid. She sang in several civic and religious organizations. After retirement, she enjoyed auditing college art history courses at the University of Oklahoma and serving as a docent at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.

Paula is survived by her daughters, Salli Compton and daughter-in-law Joyce Elder of Gig Harbor, Washington, and Brook Meiller and son-in-law James Meiller of Norman, Oklahoma; four grandsons, Whit and wife Jaea Compton of Omaha, Nebraska, Stephen and wife Chelsea Meiller of Norman, Luke and wife Kiley Compton of Omaha, Nebraska, and Andrew and wife Julie Meiller of Kansas City, Kansas; and two great-children, Olivia Grace Meiller of Norman and Micah Jahn Compton of Omaha, Nebraska.
