Gary Lynn Grotts
May 17, 1942 ~ March 14, 2012 (age 69)

Gary Lynn Grotts, of Norman Oklahoma, was surrounded by family and friends when he went to be with his Heavenly Father, March 14, 2012.  He was born May 17, 1942, in Norman, OK.,  to Leon and Lurlene Grotts.

Gary married Patsy Ann Ridgway, November 4, 1961, in Norman, OK.  Gary spent many years working at Jostons, Coors, and owned many tavern in Norman including Boogie Hill.  However, he is most recognized from Bucks Propane where he and his wife managed until they retired in 2007.    

Gary spent his Golden Years with Pat by spending time at their cabin and visiting family and friends.  Most importantly, they enjoyed talking with and watching their seven grandchildren, as well as, the additional grand-kids that joined the family in 2009.

Gary was preceded in death by his father Leon Grotts  and sister Janie Malone. 

He is survived by his mother Lurlene; sisters, Kay Thompson and husband Mike of Ardover, Kansas and Judy Schmidt and her husband Werner of Norman; his wife Pat; son Gary Paul and wife Sheri; son Steve and wife Kristi; daugher Janie and husband John Vance; his pride and joy, his grandchildren;  Lucy Knight and husband Brett, Tommy, Robby, Jalen Fred, Sarah, Madison Schreckengost and Lucas Bell; and many  friends and family members.

Memorial donations may be made to CrossPointe Church, Hwy 9 & SE 24th, Norman, Ok. 73071.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m., March 16, 2012 at CrossPointe Church with Pastor Joe Grizzle officiating. 

  Arrangements for Gary  and his family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
