Jo (Bodell) Grost

May 7, 1924 ~ June 30, 2013

Jo Grost, 89, passed away June 30, 2013. Jo was born May 7, 1924 in Dallas, Texas to Sam and Lou (Simons) Bodell. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Sharla Milner; and nephew Norman Milner, Jr.

Survivors include her son Gregg and wife Michelle; granddaughter Samantha; her loving pets Buddy and Lucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Havenbrook Chapel. Entombment will be 3:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Sparkman/ Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary Inc., PO Box 1266, Norman, OK 73070.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tom Merrill, nurse Pam Levy, Carter Hospice Staff, and Absolute Health Care for their caring and compassion during this difficult time. They would also like to acknowledge to their friends how much they appreciate the support and love they shared with Jo.

Arrangements for Jo and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at havenbrookfuneralhome.com
