Dennis L. Groom
February 15, 1949 ~ January 2, 2016

The Funeral Service celebrating the life of Dennis L. Groom,66, of Enid will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 7, 2016 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with cremation to follow. Complete care cremation and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born to L.D. and Opal Groom February 15, 1949 in Enid and passed from this life January 2, 2015 in Enid.

He was raised and educated in the Enid area graduating from Carrier High School in 1968. He married Kimberli "Hoeltzel" in September of 1974 in Enid. He worked at Northcutt Chevrolet and then the George E. Failings Company where he retired from in 1981. Shortly thereafter he went to work at NORC and retired in 2011.

He was a passionate soft ball player and devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He is survived by his Wife, of the home; Daughters, Heather Goodpasture, Morgan Groom and Sons, Casey Groom, Nick Groom and Conner Groom all of Enid, Eight Grandchildren and Brother Richard of Broken Arrow.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to a memorial of the donor's choice with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
