Cathy Lou Duvall Kuzniar Gripp was born in Enid, OK to Harold (Bud) Duvall and Luvina Ogden Duvall on Jan 3, 1950. Cathy died Wednesday Dec 21,2022 from cancer.
She started her nursing career in high school. She graduated from Guymon Highschool in 1968. She attended St Anthony Nursing School and graduated from Amarillo College and finished nursing school. Then she went to Panhandle State and received a BS in psychology. She worked at The hospital in Guymon, Elkheart KS, and Enid Regional Hospital. She worked for serval home health agencies then serval of the nursing homes in NW Oklahoma. Cathy was in the nursing field for 56 years and loved ever minute of it.
Cathy was known for loving Christmas and Halloween. She had Christmas up all year in her house. I can’t remember a time where she did not dress up for Halloween. She was all for celebrating with friends and family.
Cathy was also known for her baking and cake decorating skills. Everyone wanted a “Cathy cake” for their birthday or wedding.
She leaves behind her husband Dean Gripp of Enid, ok. They were married 24 years. She also leaves behind a daughter Katrinka Kuzniar of Enid and a grandson Seth Diamond of Stillwater, a daughter and son in law Delfina and Jason Pooler of Rock Springs, WY. Cathy has 3 grandchildren from them Gabe, Melody, and Mikey. She leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law Tait and Jessica Gripp of Owasso, Ok. Cathy has three grandchildren from them also Hunter, David, and Lillian.
The service will be Wednesday December 28, at 2pm. in the Stittsworth
Memory Chapel. Please where your favorite Christmas attire. There will be a
get together after the service at Katrinka’s house in Enid where we can
share stories and pictures of Cathy’s life. Remembrances may be shared
online at
