Diana (Osage) Grimmett was born to Johnny and Frances (Baker) Osage on March 9th, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahomaand departed this life to be reunited with her loved ones December 27, 2020 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at 73 years of age.
She met and married Manuel Grimmett on March 6th, 1967 at Elm Tree Baptist Church and to this union 3 children were born.
Diana was raised by her grandparents in the Welling area, until she left for Sequoyah High School. She held so many jobs from the age of 16 and continued working her entire life while her health permitted. Her jobs included being a provider, worker at Peterson Farms and her position at Mrs. Smith’s was her last job.
She enjoyed doing many things, but her one favorite thing to do was attending gospel singings with her husband. She also enjoyed singing in Cherokee. Diana always cooked big dinners for her grandkid’s birthdays, and she could make a delicious chicken dressing.
Diana was known as Granny to everyone who knew her, and she loved to help people out when she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Johnny and Frances Osage, her husband: Manuel Grimmett, grandparents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and a special grandson: Axl Jay Grimmett.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Patricia Wolfe and companion Jerry Sanders of Stilwell, OK, Rosie Vasquez and husband Eladio Vasquez of Stilwell, OK, and son: Johnny and wife Teresa Grimmett. Grandchildren: Sonia, Tommy Lee, Amber and Chris Wolfe, Dustin, Michael and Amanda Wolfe, Zack, Autumn (Sallis) Garman Grimmett, Ryver Hawk, Kynsi, Sydnee, Jagger Grimmett and 31 great grandchildren.
