Donald Wayne Grigsby

Donald Wayne Grigsby
May 18, 1944 ~ September 29, 2020

Donald Wayne Grigsby, son of James and Nancy (Gritts) Grigsby, was born May 18, 1944 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.

Donald was known as Bud by all of his family and friends.

Bud was a welder for several years.

He was a born again Christian and a member of Mulberry Tree Baptist Church. Bud faithfully served the CBA for several years as Director of the Sunday School Department. He loved children and helping them learn about the Lord.. Every summer, Bud enjoyed assisting with Vacation Bible School. He loved reading and studying God's Word, being with his family and friends, working crossword puzzles, singing and playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 baby brothers: Roy Grigsby, Winford (Sonny) Grigsby, sisters: Virginia Guttillo and husband Joe, Dorothy Hogner and husband Lacy, step grandson: Justin Rich, step brothers-in-law: Marland Hogner, George Hogner, Jerry Brown, sister-in-law: Janis Harlan, nephew: Rodney Guttillo.

Bud is survived by a loving family that includes his wife: Elaine Grigsby, of the home, daughters: Doreen M. Templeton and husband Ernest, Taina Grigsby and companion Padarick Chairs, step daughter: Sherri Rich, step brother-in-law: David Hogner, grandsons: Terek, Padarick, Deitrick, Kendrick and Roderick Chairs, Donald W. Templeton, step grandchildren: Leeza (Kangree) Stanley and husband Jeremiah, Joe Kester, Chelsea Rich, Serenity Rich, Faith Kester, Brooklyn Goodman, Avery Hudson, Isiah James Stanley, sisters-in-law: Wanda Brown and Joie Smith, siblings: Lucille Thomas, Carol Alec, Sue Alberty, Pat Fourkiller and husband Raymond, Lucretia Grigsby.

Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends also survive him.

He will be missed by many.
