Wanda May (Wright) Griffith
August 4, 1934 ~ June 29, 2014

Wanda Griffith, 79, of Ponca City, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at home. Wanda was born on August 4, 1934 in Ponca City to Dewey and Lucretia Newlin Wright. Her mother passed away when she was 3 years old and was raised by her father and her Aunt Lydia NewlinWright. She grew up in the Ponca City and Red Rock area and on October 4, 1952 she married Buddy Griffith, he passed away in January of 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Dewey Wright and sister Eva Faye Wright.

Wanda loved to dance and socialize. She enjoyed going to Grand Lake with her daughters and watching her son rope. She was also crazy about her dog Molly. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a wonderful smile that could light up the room. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She retired from Smith Bits.

Her greatest accomplishment and pride and joy were her 3 children Cindy Wolfkill, Cheryl Shelton and Steve Griffith all of Ponca City. Also surviving her is a brotherBurt Neff and sisterBrenda Neff. 4 Granddaughters and their husbands Jackie John Taylor, Crystal Griffith, Holly Colt Chandler and Amy Shaun Heppel. Five Great Grandchildren Ivan, Austin and Madisyn Fry, Landon Schwarz and Haylee Taylor. NephewRicky Wright and nieceKathy Edson.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Osage Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Hutchins officiating.
