Our beloved husband, brother and uncle died peacefully at his home in Billings, MT (formerly of Bartlesville, OK) on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Dan was born in Oklahoma City, OK on June 23, 1929, the son of James and Mary (Deckert) Griffin. He received an associate degree in Design Drafting from Oklahoma State University and worked in contract Drafting for many years.
Dan entered the United States Air Force on August 24, 1950. On July 26, 1954 he was honorably discharged. On April 27, 1963, Dan was united in marriage to Paula Ann Lomasney in Bartlesville, OK, where they resided for nearly 30 years. Dan and Paula moved to Billings in October of 2013.
Fishing and woodworking were Dan's favorite hobbies. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Paula; brother Paul of Oklahoma City, OK; niece Cathy (Robert) Baird of Champaign, IL; Nephew Steve (Sheryl) Griffin of Yukon, OK; niece Teresa (David) Smith of Oklahoma City, OK. His parents preceded him in death.
Vigil service for Dan will be at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 14, 2019, 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Thursday, 1:00 p.m. with Committal in Calvary Cemetery.
