Ida May Griffin, long time resident of Bartlesville, OK passed away on September 19, 2016.
Ida May was born to Charles and Myrtle Bailey July 14, 1937 in Bartlesville. Her father died when she was very young and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Jess Kelly. She married Robert Lewis Griffin January 14, 1956 and they celebrated 59 years together. They raised a family of four children and owned and operated the Ideal Cleaners in downtown Bartlesville from the early 1950�s until their retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lewis Griffin on October 12, 2015.
Ida May was a long-time member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, serving many years as an officer. She loved her many years at Ideal Cleaners, first working there and then in later years running the business. Ida May also enjoyed playing bingo and the slot machines.
She is survived by two sons Derek and wife Susan Griffin and David and wife Mary Griffin both of Bartlesville; grandchildren, Lenaya & Jeff Beck of Bartlesville, LeeAnn Griffin and Jimmy Palmer of Oklahoma City, Rebecca & Alan Barton of Wichita, KS, Alyson Griffin of Stillwater, Aimee Griffin of Stillwater, Tim & Marie Wilson of Juneau, AK and Aimee Scheer; great grandchildren, Hannah & Skylar Beck, Korbin Palmer, Paige Barton, Dane Harper, Reed Richardson and Li Jo and Jaz Wilson, brothers Edmond Bailey and Francis Kelly.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three siblings and daughters Debra Brchan and Dianna Griffin.
All family and friends are welcome to join the family for lunch before the service at 11:00 am at Derek�s home, 5300 Ranch Road, Bartlesville, OK.
Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday 9-8 and Saturday 9-1. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Bob Brchan officiating. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.
