Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas H. Warwick and Gladys McCracken Warwick, was born February 17, 1924, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She passed from this life in Alva, Oklahoma, on March 28, 2021, at the age of 97.

Elizabeth grew up on the family farm north of Hardtner, Kansas. She attended school at Canema Country School, Hardtner High School, class of 1942, and the Wichita Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1945. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Kingman Hospital, Kingman, Kansas, Achenbach Hospital, Hardtner, Kansas, and 20 years at Medicine Lodge Hospital, Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She retired in 1986.

While working in Kingman, she met Paul Grice. They married on April 25, 1948, and returned to the family farm in 1952 where they farmed/ranched and raised their four children. Elizabeth and Paul spent 44 years together until his death on November 28, 1992. Elizabeth spent all but ten of her 97 years on that same farm.

Elizabeth is also preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Gladys Warwick; her sister, Margaret Ruth Warwick (Margie); in-laws, Merle Grice, Alta Grice Wilcox, Noel and Cindy Grice, Norma and Harold Poull; step-brother-in law, Dale Ohley, and her son-in-law, Larry Sutton.

Surviving Elizabeth are her four children, Thomas Grice (Sharon) (of Dodge City, Kansas), Ruth Sutton (of Enid), Diane Grice and Anne Burkes (Mark) (all of Alva); her eight grandchildren, Jeff Grice (Eilene Burruel) (of Liberal, Kansas), James Grice (of Independence, Missouri), Larry Sutton (Kristin) and Jerry Sutton (Shasta) (all of Enid), Terry Sutton (Sylvia) and Kerry Lawson (Marc) (all of Springdale, Arkansas), Craig Winters (Stacey Fisher) (of Attica, Kansas), and Nicholas Burkes (of Alva); her 12 great-grandchildren, Maci Grice, Tyler Sutton, John Breeze, Kody Breeze, Erick Free, Darrin Sutton, Tarryn Sutton, Corrbin Sutton, Chris Lawson, Alex Lawson, Brittney Lawson and Madalynn Winters; and her 16 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by cousin Donald McCracken (of Wellington, Kansas) and her step-sister-in-law, Eva Ohley (of Pratt, Kansas).

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the Barber County Fair, Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, or to the Hardtner Health Coalition (to go towards the American flag project at the cemetery) through Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas.
