A Celebration of Life for Janette Sue "Jan" Greer, age 68, of Enid, is 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jan was born February 25, 1952 in Enid, to Wesley Glen and Joy Elaine (Whitmire) Bonnett, and passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
Jan graduated from Hunter High School in 1970 where she graced others with her two-octave range vocal talent in choir. She married Joe Mack Greer on June 27, 1970 in Hunter, Oklahoma. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this month. Jan worked at various jobs. She worked for JC Penney's, OG&E and Ward Petroleum for a while; but she was a caregiver, and what she loved to do most was cook and care for others, so she provided in-home care for many elderly individuals.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Joy Bonnett; two infant daughters, Kristina Dawn and Jennifer Danielle Greer; brother, Bruce Bonnett and nephew, Ross Bonnett and many special pets including Bubba, Phoebe and Maizie. She is survived by her husband, Joe Mack Greer, of the home in Enid as well as their dog, Josie; daughter, Melissa Jill Beebe and her husband Joseph, of Enid; brother David Bonnett and wife Cheri, of Hunter; as well as two grandchildren, Blake and Keira Beebe. What Nana Jan loved most was her family and friends and her heart was boundless. We would like to thank all of those who helped with her care and provided kindness over the years.
Memorial contributions in Jan's name may be made to the Enid SPCA or the American Cancer Society with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
