Kenneth R. "Skinny Kenny" Greenroyd
August 25, 1942 ~ December 26, 2014

Kenneth 'Skinny Kenny' Greenroyd, departed this life on Friday December 26, 2014 in Lawton at the age of 72 years, four months and one day.

Kenneth was born to Virgil and Violet [Magee] Greenroyd in Duncan, OK on August 25th, 1942 and raised by Violet and Arthur Phillips in Walters, OK.

He grew up in the city of Walters, graduating with the class of 1960 from Walters High School. He attended Cameron University for a short time.

Kenneth was a musician who loved country & western music, rhythm & blues, and gospel songs. His love of music brought him to play in multiple clubs and various taverns in Lawton, surrounding towns and multiple states.

Over the years, he has made numerous friendships, relationships, and life-long companions with his journey through his involvement of music. He spent his free time drawing, painting, and song writing. He loved to barter and trade for services and various items throughout his life. He would always be the first to volunteer his services to play to benefit those who were in need.

Survivors include: Son, Ronnie Greenroyd and wife Barbara of Lawton; daughter, Marci Greenroyd of Elkhart, IN; favorite ex-wife, Cheryl Hankins, Lawton; sister, Delaine Sansome and husband Terry of Burkburnett, TX; four brothers, Rick Phillips and wife Rise of Springtown, TX; Keith Phillips; Johnny Phillips and wife Kay all of Carnegie, OK; and Tommy Phillips of Ardmore, OK; grandchildren, Justin Greenroyd and Kaylee Greenroyd of Lawton, OK; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives, and lifelong friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by Mom and Stepfather; Arthur and Violet Phillips; his father, Virgil Greenroyd; Aunt, Dorothy House; sister-in-law, Gayla Phillips; and sister, Elaine Phillips Tunnell.
