Vernon Eugene Green
January 7, 1952 ~ May 4, 2006

A memorial service for Vernon Eugene Green, 54, of Enid, will be 1 PM Tuesday at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Ronnie Jacobs will officiate. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Enid. Visitation will be noon to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow visitation.

He was born January 7, 1952, in Enid, to Deborah Hollins and Stanley Green and died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at Deaconess Hospital, Oklahoma City.

He grew up in Enid and attended Carver elementary school, Longfellow junior high school and Enid high school. He later moved to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and then Oklahoma City, where he married Peggy Lofties.

Surviving are one daughter, Dana Green Nixon of Marietta, Georgia; two sons, Justin Green of Las Vegas and Kameron Green of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Francine Mitchell Washington of Enid and Lenora Mitchell of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Larry Mitchell of Enid and Frank Mitchell Jr.; and his stepfather, Frank Mitchell Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
