Linda Kay (Holmes) Green

Linda Kay (Holmes) Green
August 7, 1943 ~ September 26, 2019

Linda Kay Green, 76, of Del City, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019. Linda was born August 7, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to David and Velda Holmes. Velda later remarried Ray Kaufman who adopted and raised Linda.

She grew up with one sister Kathy Kaufman Tulsiani who was also a best friend to her and attended Crooked Oak High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She worked for Internal Revenue Services for over 20 years, where she met her lifelong friend Tammy Coin. Linda married Kenneth Green and welcomed two wonderful daughters Cindy and Tina and even after their separation, Linda remained close friends with Kenneth and his wife Melodie.

Family was very important to Linda. She was a caregiver even as a young girl to her mother and younger sister. She poured her life and heart into raising her two daughters and was always a loyal and trustworthy friend.

Linda was passionate about many things including music, art, and Native American culture. She was naturally artistic, but took several art classes and created beautiful paintings and sketches. She also loved to read, grow plants, and play games but most of all she loved people. Her laughter and smile would light up the room.

Linda is survived by her two daughters Cindy (Jerry) Thompson and Tina (Kurt) Myers; sister Kathy (Daulat) Tulsiani; nephew Ashok Tulsiani; step-mom Lavina Kaufman.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Velda Kaufman, her biological father David Holmes and her son-in-law Jimmy W. Moore. Linda was happy to be able to develop a relationship with David and his wife Peggy as an adult.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 16 at Ford Funeral Service (305 S. Sooner Rd. Midwest City, OK 73110) in the Candlewood Chapel from 3:30-7:30 PM.
