Gary Green of Kiowa, Kansas, was born October 10, 1942, in Moody, Missouri, and passed from this life on January 16, 2022, in Kiowa, at the age of 80 years.

He moved to Kiowa at the age of nine. He married Pam Schupbach in 1963. He started Green Acres Cattle Company in the early '70s. His love of horses paved the way to a cutting horse business that included showing competitively. He raised and trained border collies as a passion. In recent years Gary spent all his time tending to his cow-calf operation and raising wheat and hay. He looked forward to having coffee with his friends early each morning at the Corner Stop.

Those who preceded Gary in death include his mother, Beulah Page; his father, Noble Green and his brother, William "Bill" Green.

Survivors include Pam Green, his wife of 58 years; his children, Brandon Green and Paige Green; three nieces, Shannon, Jackie, and Kim; his aunt, Rachel, and his cousin, Linda.

Graveside memorial service for Gary will be Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa. Online condolences may be made at
 http://www.lanmanmemorials.com.

Memorials may be given to the Congregational Church of Kiowa or the Kiowa Public Library through the funeral home.
