Ronnie Gray

Ronnie Gray
dates

Ronnie Gray, age 71, of rural Fairfax, Oklahoma, passed from this life into God’s hands in the early morning on Monday, December 4, 2023. Born in Fairfax on August 7, 1952, to parents Jack June and Frankie Ruth (Kunze) Gray, he was the third of six children.

Ronnie was raised in the heartland of Oklahoma on his parents’ dairy farm—Gray’s Dairy, southwest of Ralston. He attended Pawnee Public Schools where he played football and graduated as a proud member of the 1970 Black Bear Class.

He married Jan Jump, and they made their home east of Fairfax. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Misty and Nikki. Later, he married Lorna Moody, and welcomed a third daughter and his only son, Cindy and Ron.

Ronnie learned the values of hard work and humility from an early age helping on the farm and learning to milk the cows. Throughout his life he worked at the family farm or operated equipment for LG Pike Construction. Upon returning to the Fairfax area, he helped his brother Bobby with his cattle and farming operation.

Ronnie’s greatest enjoyments were farming and raising cattle along with fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He loved driving the tractor as, according to him, it was relaxing. The kids knew if you wanted to spend time with dad you had to hop in the tractor with him.

Ronnie is survived by his children, Misty Repp of College Station, Texas; Nikki & Gary Harrald of Copan; Cindy & Aaron McDonald of Glendale, Ariz.; Ron Gray & Mary Helms of Ralston; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Additionally, brother Bobby Gray; nephews Cody Gray, Quentin Gray, Shawn Kurtz and their families.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jack and Frankie Gray; four siblings Judy Kurtz, Gary Gray, and twin baby sisters Carol and Linda Gray.

Ronnie’s wishes were to be cremated. Cremation has been entrusted to Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home, 201 N. 4th Street, Fairfax.

Visitation will begin 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2023, with family present from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Promptly at 2 p.m. a brief Memorial Service will follow with Pastor Russ Hughes presiding.
