Kenny Gray was born November 10, 1954 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Gwen and Oleton Gray. He passed away August 23, 2017 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 13 days.
Kenny attended high school in Lovington before moving to the Texas
panhandle. In 1972, he enlisted in the US Army and served his country and
was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era. After his discharge in
1975, he lived in Bowie, Texas for a time before moving to western Oklahoma
and making his home in Sayre. Kenny worked in the oilfield as Driller and
was employed with several different drilling companies. He was married to
Barbara Susanto at Sayre, OK on November 3, 2008. Due to his health, he
retired in 2010. Kenny enjoyed riding motorcycles, working with computers
and spending time with his family and godchildren, Grant and Guthrie Powers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; a son, Kenneth James Gray, Jr., stepson, Timothy Daniel Susanto, Colorado Springs, CO; 2 goddaughters, Alyssa and Kendall; 2 sisters, Tamara Gray, Dallas, TX, and Sharian Ham, New Mexico; a brother, Robert Gray, Lake Texoma, OK; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
