Joshua Kyle "Josh" Gray

May 25, 1983 ~ June 24, 2022

Josh Gray, 39, of Marietta, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, in Oklahoma City.

He was born May 25, 1983, in Denton, Texas. He grew up in Cooke County, Texas and graduated from Callisburg High School. Josh married Lindsey Fanning and settled in Marietta with their two daughters. He worked in car sales and the oil field, continued his love of team roping, and had a passion for baseball.

Josh loved life and rand wide open. He loved his family and his daughters and brother huge! Josh made a friend everywhere he went. He rededicated his life to Christ on April 28, 2019, and was baptized with his daughters, niece, and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Billy Joe Gray Sr. and Riley Pat Horan Sr., and Uncle Riley Pat Horan Jr.

Survivors include his daughters, Kynleigh and Rubee Gray of Marietta; mother, Nancy Janelle Horan and husband Cal Getz of Joshua, Texas; grandparents, Don and Betty King of Gainesville, Texas; grandmothers Nita Gray of Gainesville, Linda Horan of Burleson, Texas and Jean Peery of Marietta; brother, Adam Gray and wife Nicole of Elmore City; niece, Erin Gray of Elmore City; nephew, Cooper Harden of Elmore City; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30 at Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.

Serving as pallbearers were Adam Gray, Cody Hudspeth, Justin Swank, Kyle Patterson, Stephen Lindsay, and Ryan Smith. Honorary bearers were Tommy Cheaney, Cooper Harden, Cody Lee, Brandley Barnard, Justin Gomez, and John Luke Waltrip.

Memorial donations may be made to the benefit account set up by Adam and Nicole Gray for Josh's daughters, Kynleigh and Rubee.
