Eddie Allen Gray passed, 87, of Osage, Oklahoma passed from this life on February 6, 2021 at his home.
Eddie was born on August 5, 1933 at Maple City, Kansas; the son of Dean and Audine (Brown) Gray. Eddie was raised in the Maple City and Howard area graduating from high school in Howard High School. Following high school Eddie joined the United States Navy. Then following his discharge Eddie returned Beaumont working on a ranch. Eddie also worked at a filling station in Olathe, Kansas for several years. Eddie then moved to Glenndale, Arizona and he worked at a meat packing facility. Then later returned to Kansas working in the oil field of Hoisington, Kansas. Then in October of 1989, Eddie was united in marriage to Carolyn Rogers, making their home in Trenton, Missouri. Then moved to Osage 1990, where he has continued to reside. Eddie worked at Commercial Roofing in Sand Springs for nearly 15 years retiring in 2007. Eddie was not happing being retired so he worked scraping and picking up cans along the roads in his red truck.
Eddie loved to plant a garden and share his vegetables with his friends and family. He also liked being with his family playing horseshoes, watching sports and playing Uno. Being with his children and grandchildren were always exciting times for Eddie. He also liked going to Tunica or the local casinos in the area.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn of the home; mother of his children Sharon Gray of Hutchinson, Kansas; two children Eddie Gray and his wife Sherry of Osage, Oklahoma, Tony Gray and his wife Melissa of Hutchinson, Kansas; four sisters Rosemary Floyd of Liberal, Kansas, Pat Proctor of Grove, Oklahoma, Barbara Burrell of Wichita, Kansas, Betty Weber of Bella Vista, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Roy Gray, Paul Gray, Willis Gray and a sister Ruby Cook.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Eddie at www.chapman-black.com.
