Charles Anthony Gray passed from this life peacefully on April 17, 2025, at the age of 81. Charles was born on May 16, 1943, in Inglewood, California, to Harold Raymond Gray and Cynthia Alice Gray (Pickett).
Charles attended Brawley High School in Brawley, California. He married the love of his life, Janice Ann Gray (Webster) on December 21, 1968. Charles served in the Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. He received the Navy Unit Commendation and the Air Medal Goldstar. He worked as a telephone technician for AT&T. Charles and Janice came to Bryan County in 2006 from Brawley, California. Charles enjoyed T.V., computer games, fishing, golfing, and shooting. Charles was a proud veteran who loved his country and loved his family.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; Harold Gray and Cynthia Pickett Gray, and granddaughter; Nikki Dorame.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of the home; Janice Ann Gray, daughter; Laurie Clancy and spouse Daved of Celest, TX, son; John Gray and spouse Trisha Gray of Durant, OK, son; Harold Gray of Durant, OK, sister; Carol Webster and spouse Robert Webster of Brawley, CA, brother; Larry Gray and spouse Lenore Gray of Brawley, CA, brother; David Gray of AZ; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
An inurnment for Charles will be held on May 6, 2025, at Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery at 11:15 A.M.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
