James Allen Graves
October 29, 1958 ~ August 23, 2011

Our beloved, James Allen Graves, 52, went to be with our Lord Tuesday August 23, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

James was born on October 29, 1958, to Johnnie and Mary Graves in Muskogee, OK. He was employed over 20 yrs. by Verallia N. America Glass Plant as an electrician. James was a person of high integrity, had a hard work ethic, but still knew how to laugh and have fun. He loved life, his large family, his dogs, traveling, including a recent motorcycle trip with his son, John, to Sturgis, SD. He had a passion for adventure and once told a co-worker that he did not want to just live life but wanted to experience it and he did. James also was an avid OSU fan & was a whiz with computers. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Graves.

He is survived by wife, Connie, one son, John Graves of Broken Arrow, 3 daughters, Katy (Graves) Henshaw and husband, Scott of Tulsa, Angela Graves of Cleveland, OH, and Patty Holweg and husband, Guenter of Sapulpa. His mother, Mary Graves of Muskogee, 2 brothers, George Graves and wife, Debbie of Louisiana, Dennis Graves of Tulsa; 6 sisters, Mary Miller and husband Terry of Muskogee, Sharon Pipkins and husband, Thomas of Muskogee, Maggie Warren and husband, David of Verdigris, Dolly Olzawski and husband, Rick of Stigler, Helen Graves of Muskogee, Shelley Sierka of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by 8 nieces, 5 nephews, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A memorial was held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at First Church of God in Sapulpa.
