Calvin "Lucky" Graves
January 30, 1952 ~ December 19, 2023

Calvin "Lucky" Graves, 71 year old Woodward resident passed away, Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in Shattuck. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Calvin L Graves was born January 30, 1952 to Calvin and Peggy B. (McNabb) Graves in Denver, Colorado. Lucky grew up in Denver and Deer Trail, Colorado. He attended and graduated from Deer Trail High School. After being together for 26 years, Lucky was united into marriage to Gary Groce on December 1, 2015 in Aurora, Colorado. The couple made their home in Milledgeville, Georgia before settling in Woodward, Oklahoma. They shared 34 wonderful years together.

Lucky worked as a Senior Field Administrator with Kinder Morgan in the oil and gas industry for 42 years. He enjoyed being a CPR instructor, dancing and anything about cars. Spending time with his family and friends brought him the most joy.

Lucky is survived by his husband, Gary Groce of the home, sons, Chad Groce of Woodward, Chad Graves of Deer Trail, Colorado; one daughter, Tracy Walker of Monument, Colorado; brother, Mark Graves of Lake Havasu, Arizona; sister, Cherlyn Price of Aurora, Colorado; three grandchildren: Jack Thomas Laing of Monument, Colorado, Alexis Groce and Kaylee Groce of Woodward;2 great grandchildren: Jason Underhill and Astrid Speck of Woodward; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cal Graves and Peggy Best.
