July 31, 1960 ~ January 5, 2021

Kim Grass, Sr. age 60 passed from this life on the morning of Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Grass residence in the Bressie Community.

Kim was born July 31, 1960 in Pawnee, OK as the youngest child of Charlie and Martha (Williams) Grass.

He attended Chilocco Indian School and later obtained his licences for Water and Wastewater from the Dept of Environmental Quality in 1991. He was a member of the Native American Church, a keeper of the family fireplace, and a traditional head cook for his people.

As a young man, Kim was a fancy dancer, and with his mother successfully set precedent for the right to wear long hair in school. He was a proud member of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma where he served as the Tribe's Water Department Director for years. He enjoyed watching Bonanza and old western reruns, OU and Dallas Cowboy Football, music, laughing with friends, casino hopping with his love, and spoiling his precious BB.

Kim is survived by the love of his life and wife of 36 years Jana Grass of the home; his children: Kimberlie Grass, Jr. ("JR") and wife Savannah Grass of Tulsa; Storm'in Bible and husband Bill Bible of Ponca City;Melanie Grass of Clarksville, TX; Chawa-Yuga Grass of Oklahoma City; Nina Grass-Johnson and husband Jerry Johnson Jr. of Tulsa; Justin Grass and partner Carmella Ramirez of Idabel, OK; his most dearest granddaughter BB; numerous other grandchildren, his lifelong friend, Spencer Arkeketa, Sr and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kami Jo, brother Sequoyah Grass, sister Galedia (Grass), nephew Daryl Youngbear, and niece Mathesha (Grass).

His final wishes were to be cremated and buried behind his GRASS homestead in Bressie.

Kim was a character who had a mind of his own but he loved with all his MIGHT.

POPS will forever be our superman who will be deeply missed!!
