man, was born on August 27, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on May 25, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
He was the son of the late Jessie B. Grant and the late Mary Jane Whitaker Grant. Jessie grew up surrounded by family ties that remained important to him throughout his life, and he carried those bonds with him with quiet strength and deep affection. He is survived by his devoted wife, Anette Grant, whom he married in 1980 and cherished as his soulmate and best friend. Their marriage was built on love, companionship, and a shared life of faith and devotion.

He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Christina, as well as many aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will remember his warm presence, steady encouragement, and genuine care. His family was a source of joy to him, and he treasured the time he spent with them.
Jessie was a high school graduate and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army. After his military service, he continued his career with dedication and discipline as a retired employee of the United States Post Office. In both of these roles, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, responsibility, and a commitment to serving others. Those who knew him understood that he approached his duties with humility and pride, always striving to do his best.
Faith was central to Jessie’s life. He was baptized on August 1, 2015, and served Jehovah faithfully with sincerity and conviction. He found great purpose in sharing the Bible with others and teaching people about Jehovah. His faith was not simply something he believed, but something he lived each day through his words, actions, and example. He was known for speaking about his beliefs with kindness and patience, always hoping to encourage others and help them find comfort and hope.
Jessie also had a deep love for the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed riding horses and had a special appreciation for animals and rescued several dogs and cats. These interests reflected his gentle nature and the joy he found in the world around him. He was happiest when he could spend time doing things he loved and when he could share those moments especially with his wife and with the people he cared about most.
He will be remembered as a man of warmth, faith, and quiet strength. His loving spirit touched the lives of many, and his kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Jessie had a way of making others feel valued, and his presence brought comfort and steadiness to his family and friends. He lived with purpose, loved deeply, and remained faithful to the end.
