Leon Gottfried, 85, a long-time resident of Perry, OK, passed away at OU Medical Center on November 6, 2024. He was born on Oct 7, 1939, to Mitas and Elsie Gottfried. Leon served his country before returning to Perry where he retired after a long career at Ditch Witch then buying a small ranch east of Perry.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Terry Douglass officiating.
Leon is survived by his son, Nathan and Mei Gottfried and their children Kian and Liam; daughter, Kimberly and Jeffrey Cleland and their children Kelsey and Tristan; sister, Ginger Garringer and her daughter Launa Miller; and many other family members.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Mitas and Elsie Gottfried and siblings, Freda Terrell, Walter Gottfried, Gertie Warden, Charlie Gottfried, Ruby Slavens, Rose Bays, Edna Slavens, Orvel Gottfried, Gene Gottfried, and Cecil Gottfried.
