Leonard Gorrell

June 22, 1925 ~ September 28, 2004

Leonard Gorrell, 79, formerly of Chickasha, was born June 22, 1925, and passed September 28, 2004. Services will be held in Merced, California.

Leonard Gorrell, our father, friend, and grandfather, was a kind and humble man.

He was born to John and Bertha Gorrell in Hugo, Oklahoma, June 22, 1925, one of eight kids. He will be missed, but not forgotten. He passed while napping in his favorite chair (Lucille) so peacefully on September 28, 2004. He had nicknames ranging from Pappy to Leonard Skynard that lend to the character we each can remember. Leonard, we'll miss you, and we'll see you on the other side. Shake 'um up (the Dominoes).

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha; daughter, Shirley Prothro; brothers, Floyd, J. D. and Pete; and sister, Johnnie.

Survivors include daughter, Linda Caton; daughter, Judy Sterie; son, Bob Gorrell; wife, Betty Gorrell; sister, Betty Warren; sister, Pat Emerick; brother, Roger Gorrell; nine grandchildren; and many friends.

In lieu of Flowers and cards, Leonard would probably ask you to give your money to your favorite church or charity.
