Rudy Vallee Goree, 80, of Bartlesville passed away in the comfort of his home Monday September 30, 2019. Rudy was born Feb 15, 1939 to George Allen Martin and Ada Belle Goree in Ogelsby, Ok.
After moving to Bartlesville Rudy attended Douglass School until 1953 where he attended and graduated from College High School. After graduation Rudy trained and worked as an electrician apprentice for T.P.Scott. In 1961 Rudy joined the Navy. While on furlough in 1963 he met the love of his life Betty Hardrick.
Rudy and Betty married July 18, 1964 in Vinita, Ok. and later resided in California after his discharge from the Navy. After the Navy Rudy worked for United Airlines and Air California as an airplane mechanic. In 1979 Rudy retired and returned Bartlesville. Rudy was known for his multiple talents and hobbies such as fishing, hunting, painting/sketching portraits,jewelry making, and making the best bbq sauce on this side of Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; four brothers, Edward Johnson Jr, Gene Nolan, George Morton Jr, and Michael Martin; eight sisters, Ruby Lee Jackson, Glynda Burnett, LaRita Johnson, Sandra Benton, Yona Johnson, Shelley Martin, Yvette Martin, and Yvonne Martin. He is also survived by close cousins, Darrell Black, Kermit Goree, Keith Goree, and Karl Goree; two uncles, George Goree and Jess Martin and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Kathy Douglas and Kaye Oliver.
