Goodner, Ora Sue (Childs), 74, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born July 12, 1937 in Norman to William and Nellie Mae (Beavers) Childs. She was raised in Norman and graduated from Norman High School in 1955.
Sue lived and worked in New York and Connecticut for 30 years before returning to Oklahoma where she worked as an administrative assistant for the University of Oklahoma – OCCE retiring in 2002. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge with her friends and traveling the world. Sue enjoyed traveling with her husband to many different countries and to every state in the United States. Sue was active with the Democratic party of Norman and also achieved her ACBL Bronze Life Master in 2010.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee of Norman; niece, Debbie Collum and husband Jerry and their sons, Scotlyn and Cameron; stepson, Charles Goodner; grandson, Brett Goodner and wife Summer and two great grandchildren, Evan and Avery; and three granddaughters, Keela, Lane and Jenna Goodner. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Ross Goodner, Jr. and her sister, Mary Lyle Weeks.

A memorial service for Sue will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
