Viewing and visitation for James Robert Goodman, Sr., 77, of Eufaula, former Minco resident will be on Monday, September 25, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco. Cremation will follow with no services.
James Robert Goodman, Sr. was born July 10, 1929 in Minco to Leonard and Joyce [Jester] Goodman and died Friday, September 22, 2006 in Oklahoma City.
Viewing and visitation for James Robert Goodman, Sr., 77, of Eufaula, former Minco resident was on Monday, September 25, 2006 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco, cremation followed with no services.
James Robert Goodman, Sr. was born July 10, 1929 at Minco to Leonard and Joyce (Jester) Goodman and died Friday, September 22, 2006 at Oklahoma City. He was raised in the Minco and Stillwater area and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and resided mostly in Eufaula in his later years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the VFW Eufaula Post, and the Moose Lodge in Stillwater. He worked as a produce manager in retail foods till his retirement and after retirement he worked at the Pumpkin Lot in Edmond.
Mr. Goodman was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Joyce Goodman; one brother: Robert "Punk" Halverson; one sister: Anna Mae White.
He is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law: James Robert, Jr. and Kandas Goodman of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two daughters and son-in-law: Brenda and Steve Lowe of Kennewick, Washington, Geraldean Fuller Goodman of Guthrie; two brothers and sister-in-law: Tom and Donna Meyers of Tuttle, Danny and Betty Meyers of Newcastle; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Dora Elizabeth "Dot" Stone of Ardmore, Judy and Gene Hunt of Eufaula, Freddie Jo and Gene Lane of Caldwell, Idaho; five grandchildren: Summer Lynn Goodman, Colby Oneal Wade, Christopher Duane Mitchell, Rachel Anne Lowe and Ryan Lowe.
