Maria Eugenia Gonzalez

Maria Eugenia Gonzalez
July 8, 1966 ~ April 26, 2020 (age 53)

Maria Eugenia Gonzalez, 53, left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on April 26, 2020.

She was born to Luz Maria Gonzalez and Esteban De La Rosa in Mexico City on July 8, 1966. She had one sister, Rocio Gonzalez, and one brother, Armando Gonzalez. She met the love of her life when they were just five years old. They married on January 6, 1990 and had two sons, Luis and Milton De La Rosa, who were both the love of their life.

She was a loving and compassionate woman who was adored by so many. She was referred to as mom not only by her kids, but also her nephews, nieces, and many of her children’s friends because she treated everyone as if they were her child. The moment you walked into the De La Rosa house, she would greet you with a loving smile, a warm embrace, and offer you some of her delicious homemade food! She made everyone feel welcome and at home.

She was always such a happy person, but she was happiest when surrounded by her loving family. She loved Christmas time, she couldn’t wait to celebrate it with those she loved most! Music also filled her with joy and you could regularly find her dancing to her favorite tunes in the kitchen. Maria had a special love for flowers. Her loving husband would often bring home bouquets of flowers and she was always just as excited as the first time.

She was also heavily involved with The Catholic Church. She dedicated her life to serve the Lord and her earthly brothers and sisters. Her passion for the church was a big part of who she was and that light shined very bright for the world to see. She changed so many lives with her compassion, love for others, and love for God. It brings us comfort knowing she is with The Lord and no longer in pain as she suffered many years from cirrhosis. Her body is free of pain and disease and her heart is full with all the love of those who mourn her.

Maria is preceded in death by her father Esteban De La Rosa. She is survived by her husband, Amauri De La Rosa, her two sons, Luis and Milton De La Rosa, her mother, Luz Maria Gonzalez, and her brother and sister, Armando and Rocio Gonzalez.
