Judith Lorne (Nass) Pugh Gonzalez

April 17, 1935 ~ October 4, 2006

Memorial services for Judith Lorne Gonzales (Pugh), 71, of Chickasha, will be held at 7 p.m., on Friday, October 20th, 2006 at the New Hope Worship Center at 13600 28 Mile Road in Albion, Michigan.

Judith Lorne Gonzales (Pugh) was born April 17, 1935 in Albion, Michigan, to Frederick and Helen Nass. She died in her sleep on October 4, 2006, after a 3 year battle with cancer.

Judy graduated from Albion High School and attended Michigan State University. She was married to Max Pugh for 25 years. Judy was a florist in the family business; Thomson's Flowers in Albion, for many years and became the owner of the shop in 1974 until she sold the business in 1981. She also worked in the florist business in the Houston and Denver areas until she moved to Chickasha in 1990. She worked at the local Vo-Tech as a floral design instructor and at a local church in their business office.

Over the past few years, she has been breeding Persian cats and found homes for literally hundreds of animals. They were like children for her. Through this, she had formed a large circle of cat loving friends in the internet community across the country who were with her in support right up to her last days.

Surviving are her sons: Tom Pugh, and his wife Diane of Chickasha; and Jeff Pugh of Michigan; grandchildren: Jamie Andrews and husband Mark and Justin Pugh; sisters: Leslie and husband Jim Maxwell and Kathy and husband Frank Remus; nieces and nephews: Christine, Renee, Jim and Paul.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made to the local Hospice or the Humane Society. Her family very much appreciates your kind thoughts and prayers.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
