Norman - Patricia Anita Gonzales passed from this life into the presence of her Lord November 15, 2022, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years 3 months 24 days. A memorial mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 21, 2022, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell, entrusted to the care of Wadley's Funeral Service.
Patsy was born July 23, 1953, in Dilley, Texas to Adrian and Inocencia (Fonseca) Valdez. She was raised in Texas. Patsy was known as a woman of God and of prayer and was passionate about her family and church family. She loved traveling with her sister and her nieces to visit family in her hometown of Dilley, Texas and her family in San Antonio. Patsy was happiest when she got to spend time with all of her grandchildren. When she was able, Patsy did her best to attend church Sundays at Familia Emmanuel Iglesia, and she loved her church family. Patsy was able to keep in touch with all of her friends and family on social media and was able to watch church services online. Patsy had an infectious laugh and always encouraged to stay positive and pray when things got tough. She provided her home to many friends and family when things got rough, even if it was just for a week. Patsy had many friends through her job at Dairy Queen and Norman Regional Hospital.
Patsy is preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Valdez and Michael Valdez; and her sister, Mary Grizzle.
She is survived by her husband, Jose I. Gonzales of Norman, OK; her sons, Joseph Gonzales and Jacob Gonzales; three grandchildren, Alexcia, Baylie and Daniel; her brother, Sonny Valdez; her brother-in-law, Larry Grizzle; her sisters-in-law, Elia Valdez and Linda Valdez; her nieces and nephews, Aaron Valdez (Alicia), Mark Molina (Maria), Yolanda Saylor (Jeff), Mitch Valdez, Amy Vagliari (Valentino), Dalila Bruner (Kevin), Adrian Valdez, Michael Valdez (Liliana), David Ramon (Molly), Jason Ramon (Ashleigh), Larry Grizzle (Taylor), Dina Thompson (Tim), Adrian Valdez (Elena), Christy Sellers (Larry), Andy Valdez. She loved all her family all over the country, from Simi Valley, California, Provo, Utah, to Texas and Illinois. Patsy had many friends from church that were close to her that became part of her life.
