Miranda Rashell (Christy) Goff, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away July 9, 2024, at the age of 42. Born on February 1, 1982, in Stroud, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of Jimmy and Tina Christy. Miranda's education journey began at Davenport Public School and concluded at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, setting the stage for her impactful career in education.
For 17 years, Miranda dedicated herself to teaching HeadStart, pre-K, and Kindergarten. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many students and their families, as evidenced by the numerous messages from parents expressing gratitude for her influence on their children.
Miranda was deeply devoted to her family. In 2016, she met the love of her life, Michael Goff, and his son, Sutton, who became her bonus son. The couple married on June 22, 2019, and together they created a loving home. Miranda's world revolved around Michael and Sutton, and she cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was caring for them or cheering at Sutton's sports activities. Her creative spirit also found joy in drawing and painting. Miranda enjoyed a love of theater and travel.
Miranda is survived by her husband, Michael Goff; bonus son, Sutton Goff; parents, Jimmy and Tina Christy; brothers, Daryn and Jenni Christy and their children Paizley, Brinlee, and Hayes; Dylan and Audrey Christy and their children Payton, Landry, and Collins; grandmother, Joyce Christy Wilburn and husband Don Wilburn, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mark and Gaby Goff; brother-in-law, John Goff, his son Gavyn, and girlfriend Brooke. She also leaves behind many, many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Barbara Forbis, and grandfather, Aubrey Christy.
Contributions in Miranda's memory may be made to St. Jude's, the Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of your choice. Miranda's legacy of love, education, and artistic passion will be remembered by all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Miranda's life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Stroud First Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
