George Erwin Glasscock peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born on May 27, 1938, in Elmore County Alabama to Hubert and Jessie Glasscock.
George entered the Navy in 1957 and bravely served his country for 26 years until retiring in 1983. He also served in the Auburn University Police Department for 20 years, and then went on to work in sales for GE Motors in Boise, Idaho.
George is proceeded in death by his father, Hubert L. Glasscock, mother Jessie Messer Glasscock, and brothers Donald Glasscock, Neil Glasscock, and Elvin Glasscock.
George is survived by his loving wife of the home Nancy Kay Glasscock, son Tommy Glasscock, daughter Denise Glasscock and spouse Terry Pierce, step-daughters Lisa Maynard and spouse Michael and Krista Fincher and spouse Russell, grandchildren Jessica Baker and spouse Jeff and Jonathan Clardy and spouse Heather, step-grandchildren Shayla Josepha and spouse Brian, Zachary Maynard, Collin Maynard, Lillie Fincher, and Parker Fincher, great-grandchildren Oksana Baker, Tyler Baker, Sabrina Clardy, Skyler Clardy, and Josiah Clardy, step-great grandchildren Jayden Josepha and Myles Josepha, sisters Dorothy Dreyer, Ruth Nichols and spouse Don, Nita Lacoy and spouse Harry, and Gayle Eubanks and spouse Steve and numerous nieces and nephews.
