Kyle Allen Gimlin was born December 24, 1967 to Jon Floyd Gimlin and Julia Ann “Judy” Gimlin in Borger, TX. Shortly after his birth they relocated to Bartlesville, OK where he was raised surrounded by love alongside his siblings Kevin Gimlin and Jonna Hoffman.
He graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1986 and soon relocated to Norman, OK. Kyle spent decades working in the car industry in which he spent many years as a service advisor. His coworkers described him as hard-working, willing to go the extra mile, loyal, energetic with a good sense of humor. Outside of work, Kyle loved riding his Harley, cheering on OU football, and most of all, spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Kyle was a proud father to Chance Gimlin and Brittney Saunders and went on to be “Papa” to Ryatt Saunders, Milly Saunders, Roan Gimlin, Hudson Gimlin and Truby Saunders. Nothing lit up his world more than being a grandpa.
Kyle will be remembered for his willingness to drop everything to help his loved ones, his contagious smile and his laughter that could fill a room. His legacy lives on through the love he gave and the memories he created with those lucky enough to know him.
Kyle is proceeded in death by his mother Judy Gimlin, brother Kerry Lee Gimlin, brother Bryan Kevin Gimlin and sister Jonna Hoffman.
He is survived by his father Jon Gimlin, his son Chance Gimlin and spouse Kylea of Norman, OK, his daughter Brittney Saunders and husband Miller Saunders of Norman, OK, five grandchildren Ryatt Saunders, Milly Saunders, Roan Gimlin, Hudson Gimlin and Truby Saunders, and one niece Kayla Hoffman of Bartlesville, OK.
