Mark Gilmore, 68, of El Reno, Oklahoma passed away on January 17, 2023 surrounded by his family in his home.
Mark was born to Thomas James and Polly Sue Gilmore in Okarche, OK on May 9, 1954.
He graduated from El Reno High School in 1972. After high school, Mark went on to enjoy a very diverse carer, Working on the Rock Island railroad with many of his lifelong friends. His early calling brought him to the Hi-Fi, home and car audio industry spending almost two decades working for companies such as, Soundtrak, Mobile Connections, The Stereo Connection, and many major car audio manufacturers. Mark could be seen driving around vehicles with loud stereos encouraging kids to buy car stereo equipment rather than drugs. After he left the industry, Mark opened Gilmore’s Pub and Barefoot Bar. Serving up steaks for more than a decade. Having his hometown’s interests at heart, Mark served as a City Councilman, and Vice Mayor.
Mark loved spending time with his son, grandkids, friends, and family. Enjoying cruises, fishing, and most of all, feeding everyone. He never met a stranger and always made sure no one spent a holiday alone.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by son, Josh Gilmore and wife Gabbi, brother, Charles Gilmore and wife Cindy, sister, Kathy Gilmore and spouse Ken, grandchildren; Jaden Gilmore, Jaxen Gilmore and fiancé Makenna, Jameson Gilmore, Preslie Baze, Ellie Baze, Sloan Welch, and Brady Gilmore. And too many nieces, nephews, and friends to mention.
The family would like to thank Russell Murray Hospice for their exceptional care, especially Gabby, Betty, Cathy, and Jennifer. They would also like to thank his good friend, Gina, for taking such good care of him.

Come & Go Viewing and Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral will be held at First Baptist Church in El Reno on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
