Betty McGehee Gillean, age 56, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015.
Betty Jean McGehee was born December 12, 1959 in Madera, CA, 1of 4 children of Bobby Morris McGehee and Joyce Louise (Herron) McGehee. When still young, the McGehee family settled in the Purcell-Lexington area and Betty attended Purcell schools. Betty worked for the University of Oklahoma in housekeeping for several years, until suffering a back injury. And though disabled, she continued to work for her sister, Vickie and her cleaning company, Tyler’s Cleaning in Norman. Betty was an avid admirer and collector of all things “Betty Boop”. She was a wonderful mother to her son, Gary. She will be remembered as loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: Her father, Bobby McGehee; Husband, Curly Gillean and Daughter-in-law, Shelley McGehee.
Betty leaves behind: Her son, Gary Ray McGehee of Lexington; Her mother, Louise Copas of Lexington; Sister, Vickie Tyler and husband, Peanut of Norman; Brothers, Gary McGehee and wife Ruth of Lexington and Bobby McGehee and wife Jill of Dibble and A host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be 10:00a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel, Purcell, OK.
