Opal Caressa Gilcrease, resident of Ponca City, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. She was 72 years old. Caressa was born on June 23, 1947 in Dalhart, Texas to her parents, Marvin Dove and Berttie (Brilley) Dove. She married John Gilcrease on April 11, 1996 in Las Vegas, NV.
Caressa is survived by her husband, John, of Ponca City, son, John W. Gilcrease and wife Jerri of Garden City, Kansas, five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Lenora Wahn and husband Dan of Plaines, Kansas, brother, Mike Rudolph and wife Debbra of Blackwell, brother, Ernest Rudolph and wife Tammy of Orlando, Florida, and sister, Lorraine Salley and husband Ellis of Pampa, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Laura Looney, brother, Ross McClure, sister, Leota Gilcrease, brother, Bert Earl McClure, and brother, John Dove.
A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date. Please contact Bible Baptist Church at 580-762-7255 for information regarding the ceremony.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
