Chu "Uki" Giger
December 25, 1936 ~ August 3, 2023

Chu Giger, known to family and friends as Uki, passed away August 3, 2023. She was born December 25, 1936 in Japan. She moved with her family to Korea when she was about 9 years old. Chu came to the United States in 1966 to Honolulu, Hawaii. She bought a shrimp boat and converted it to a fishing boat. It had a captain, a chef and a crew of 15.

Chu married Dan Giger on September 14, 1989 and they enjoyed 33 years together.

Chu was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and a daughter. She is survived by her husband, Dan; his children, Dannie, Robbi and Lori; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jane Kang of Everett, WA. She will be dearly missed.

Viewing will be Sunday, August 6 from 11:00am to 8:00pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Monday, August 7, 10:00am at Tulakes Baptist Church in Bethany, OK.
