Edward Taylor “Ed” Gifford
July 23, 1946 ~ March 22, 2025

Memorial Celebration of Life service for Edward “Ed” Taylor Gifford, of Fairview, will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Edward Taylor Gifford was born on July 23, 1946 in Alva, Oklahoma to Glenwood Olney and Elsie Mae (Taylor) Gifford. He passed from this life on March 22, 2025 at the age of 78, at the Baptist Village in Enid, Oklahoma.

Ed grew up with his brother Osage and sister Glenda attending elementary school in Orienta and high school in Fairview, Oklahoma. After high school he went to work and met Anita Penner worked for Security National Bank in Enid, Oklahoma and soon after on October 22, 1965 they were married. Ed and Anita were soon blessed with two daughters, Cynthia Suzanne and Angela Kay.

Over Ed’s lifetime he had numerous jobs to name a few he worked on harvest crews, was a truck driver, and owned his own business in the oil and gas industry hauling rock for drilling locations. One thing that was always consistent no matter what job Ed was performing; he was a hard worker. Ed was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Cynthia Suzanne Moore, three brothers, Glenwood Osage Gifford two who died at birth and son-in-law, Rex Moore.

Those left to cherish his memory are; Angela Kay Grammer of Arizona, two grandchildren, Alton and Rachael Grammer of Longdale, and Lindsey Carlton and Alex of Missouri, four great-grandchildren, one sister Glenda Brinson and husband Gary of Fairview and sister-in-law Cathy Gifford of Fairview.

Memorial donations can be made to the OMRF-Heart Division.
