John Gibson passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 20th in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Pastor Jsue Wagner officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
John Raymond Gibson was born December 19, 1946 in Woodward, OK to Delbert and Beatrice (Oyler) Gibson.
He married Donna June Patterson on August 31, 1968 in Woodward. John and Donna moved to Bartlesville in 1971. He was employed with Phillips Petroleum from 1971 until 1981. After leaving Phillips he pursued a life long career investing in rental property. John was a man independent to his own ideals. He was compassionate, giving, loving and a man of complete integrity. John was a selfless, devoted, wonderful caretaker and husband to his wife, Donna.
John is survived by his wife, Donna of the family home. One daughter, Shannon Lorenz and husband Gary of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Pat and wife Paulette Patterson & family, sister-in-law Linda Dobbins & family, cousin Linda and husband Richard Merrell of Texas, and many friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Ebert and Cliffogene Patterson and brother-in-law Larry Dobbins.
